# Soup plate

A plate with a deep base and a narrow rim, made for pasta, risottos and dishes with sauce.

The soup plate has a base deep enough to hold the sauce, and a narrow rim that frames the dish without taking up room on the table. Its profile flares gently, so the last spoonful comes up without effort.

The glaze is laid on in superimposed layers: a plain base, then a darker veil on the rim, which underlines the shape.
